Achievements 2023

The French language and raising awareness of environmental protection are two excellent tools used by our association and our partners to carry out our actions on the field and achieve our objectives.

This approach is perfectly in line with the guidelines of the Francophonie, which emphasizes information, awareness-raising and training for sustainable development

The year 2023 was very rich in terms of actions. Our volunteers were able to cover a large part of Madagascar, demonstrating our commitment to environmental education, recognized by IPCC experts as one of the most impactful solutions to combat climate change. We continued to distribute books delivered by boat for library creation projects, thus contributing to the dissemination of environmental knowledge in French.

We have set up with the new schools our working method adapted to their educational needs and their resources on site. This approach offers many interactive activities and exercises to raise awareness among students about ecology and environmental issues.

The majority of partner schools participated in the annual competition organized by the association, focusing on mastery of the French language focused on the theme of the environment. This competition integrates literary appreciation and environmental education, raising students' awareness of rhymes, evocative words and expressions related to nature. It is followed by concrete action on the field: reforestation and creation of an educational garden within the school. These practical activities reinforce the learning of vocabulary specific to the environment and sustainable development in French.

Our initiative is aligned with international efforts to raise awareness and educate the public, recognized as essential for a viable future by UNESCO. By combining the learning of French with concrete environmental actions, we contribute to training conscious and committed citizens for sustainable development in Madagascar, while promoting the richness of the French language.

Throughout 2023 - the children love coming to the library. Cartons of books are regularly sent by boat. Local volunteers are on hand to collect them.
